Billy moved to the area from the South back in 2000 when Rachel was attending high school. They became close friends and even though they had feelings for each other they were always in relationships with other people so they never crossed the friendship line.
After high school, Billy joined the Marines and Rachel went to college and then started teaching 4th grade. They occasionally kept in touch but it wasn’t until 2017 when he posted on Facebook that he was coming up to the area to visit with friends when Rachel sent the typical “lets get together message” and they were finally able to meet up.
They spent the night talking and it was like they never stopped talking. Since then they have been inseparable. Billy still lived in VA and they survived a long distance relationship until 2018 when Billy moved back up to the area.
Rachel and Billy are both homebodies and when they were talking in their kitchen about the future, he got down on his knee and pulled out a ring to propose!
Rachel and Billy did things a little differently on their wedding day which I loved! They rented an AirBNB that was on a farm and got permission to have their wedding there!
It was a perfect setting to say their nuptials and celebrate with friends and family! It was also a photographers playground!
