You're probably here because you met your one and only and are ready to start looking for a photographer to capture your wedding day!
I started to photograph weddings about 10 years ago. I started off as a second photographer for a friend and quickly fell in love with them! Funny story, I actually went to school for Hotel & Restaurant Management as I wanted to open a resort and host weddings! It's crazy how life changes!
Today I love capturing memories with my own soul mate, Dan! We also have an associate team of photographers as well to help be able to provide our Carlson Wedding Experience for more couples.
I truly love capturing weddings! From the beautiful details, the excitement of getting ready, the emotions of the parents, the joy, the tears and everything in between. It's so fulfilling to be able to be part of our couple's wedding days! We meet as strangers but leave as friends.
So what is the carlson wedding experience?
Connecting
I hope you looked around a little and love what you see!! I love when I meet with couples and they say that they have stalked my site, blog, social media etc. I book weddings about a year or two out, sometimes more! It's never too early to reach out regarding your day!
There is a form at the bottom of the page that you can complete with some additional information about your wedding day.
Securing your wedding date
If our team is available for your wedding day, I love to set up a time to chat or meet up to discuss any particulars and get a general idea on the length of time we would be needed for on your wedding day.
After we chat, I will send an online quote, contract and invoice over to you. You'll be able to select the package that you want (with the option to upgrade later if needed).
Once completed, you'll receive a link where you'll have access to all your documents, invoices, questionnaires etc for your wedding day in your personalized client portal.
Engagement SESSION
The next step would be booking your engagement session! Engagement sessions are probably one of my most favorite things to capture! This is where we will get to know each other. You'll also get a chance to see how we shoot, how super easy our posing is and how fun taking photos actually is! I cannot count how many times I have heard that "I'm not that photogenic" or "I've never had photos done before". No worries love! We will walk you through every step of the way.
The best part is....once you get to your wedding day photos, you'll know exactly what you're doing and we will know what poses work best for you!
timeline planning
About 5 weeks prior to the wedding day, I will send you a detailed questionnaire that will gather all the information needed for the day. Between the times, locations, vendors, special photos etc. It'll all be there! We can have a chat regarding the timeline so you can ensure we are capturing everything that you've dreamed of for your wedding day photos!
Your wedding day
This is where it gets good!! I mean you have planned this day for so long. The excitement, nerves, joy, love..... it's all there! We will arrive and begin capture the details of your day. The dress, rings, shoes, flowers etc. These are often some of my favorite photos!
The day will move super quick so I like to tell all my Carlson Couples to take a step back and just take it all in!
We'll know the timing based on the questionnaire that is completed so we can help move things along throughout the day. If things get a bit off track, no worries! We will roll with that as well!
We are here for you! We want to make sure that you have a stress free wedding day and trust us to capture it every step of the way!
A little peak
I love the excitement coming off of a wedding day!
I start off with sharing one of my favorite photos from the wedding day. However, this is only a little taste of what is to come!
3-5 days after the wedding you will receive a full sneak peak. Now I like to say that I limit these to 10-15 images. However, that would be a lie. I tend to share more around 80 images or so from your wedding day! I am just as excited to share these images with you as you are to see them!
Once the blog post is published and the images are starting to appear on social media, I will shoot over an email so you can take a peek. Of course I welcome you stalking my pages to see them as soon as they post as well!!
Gallery delivery
If you're anything like me, you are anxiously awaiting the delivery of your galley!!
No worries boo, I got you!!
Even though I work full time (for now) I still will provide your full gallery of edited images between 3-5 weeks from the wedding day!
Album design
Once the editing of the images is completed, I also send the photos to our album company. They will create a custom site for you to help you pick and choose the images you want included if your album.
I will pick initial images that I think help tell the story of your wedding day. However, you have complete control to change the images as you feel fit.
Once the image selection is completed, you will receive an album builder questionnaire. This will walk you through the different album options that are available.
I will then start designing your album based off of the album photo selections and completed album builder. You have complete control of how your album looks!
