Madeline & Jonathan

Met in college while performing in "Beetles Cabaret" with their student-run theater company. Madeline sang "Here Comes the Sun," and Jonathan sang "Hello, Goodbye." They didn't talk to each other but both remember thinking the other was super cute and talented. Later that year, Jon was asked to step in as music director for CUA's production of "La Perdida," where Maddy was playing the role of Carlota. Maddy had a HUGE talent crush on Jon, but they were just friends. They lost touch while Jon graduated and started his Master's degree, and Maddy studied abroad in London. They then reconnected over snapchat during the summer of 2016, and had their first date sometime in September 2016, and started officially dating shortly after.

They have a shared love for hiking and traveling any chance they get. Jonathan keeps a list of silly/funny quotes that Madeline says, along with the dates. On a weekend trip to Philadelphia (Longwood Gardens), Jonathan started reading through the quotes, and had Madeline read the last one that said 5/31/2021, "Yes." and pulled out the ring and asked her to marry him. Madeline did say yes, and then proposed to Jon at a restaurant later that day over a bowl of baked cheese.

Their wedding was held at The Old Carter barn in Tunkhannock, PA. The stunning barn and lake side ceremony site was the perfect setting for their I Do's. Madeline's invitations, favors and table place cards were all made of seed paper that can be planted and turn into flowers. How fun is that!

We loved capturing their first look and it was super sweet how Jon kept saying how beautiful Maddy looked all throughout the wedding day!

Their lakeside ceremony was super sweet! I loved the part in Maddy's vow's where she explained that she was going to tell Jon she loved him for the first time but he beat her to it a day before her plans.

Vinny the ring bearer was adorable and left his pillow at the end of the aisle so he could pick up rocks when he walked down. Thankfully he went back and got his ring pillow before running back up to the front.

And lets not forget the flower man lol

I'm so thankful that Maddy was a champ walking around in her heels to different locations on the farm.

The barn was decorated in tons of twinkly lights and wildflowers to set the space for their reception.

Thank you Madeline & Jonathan for allowing us to capture your wedding day!
